Jews of NYC: How should a new-to-new-york young adult Jew get involved in the Jewish community in the city?

I live in Manhattan and would love to get more involved in the Jewish community. Would anybody recommend any conservative or kabbalah shul, classes/torah study for young adults, or anything else to get more involved in the community? Let me know! 🙂
