I’m considering not being friends with my best friend of 5 years because of his dismissal of the terrorist attack and my concern over me moving there

This interaction is from today after I sent him the picture of the synagogue attack which is near where he lives and where I am moving to next year because my brother needs support. It’s not the first time he has simply ignored this and said “the media makes it worse” but this is just hurtful. I don’t know what to do
