Hello, to clarify the title I know what my last name is and I know that is was changed from what it was to Karlson to what it is now. My mom swears that one of my dad’s siblings or their children have the documents that have our true last name on them. My guess is that my last name would be Karlinski if it hadn’t been changed. On the other hand I know that some of our family had the last name Lesniewski notably my grandmother who I am very close with. I already intend on changing my name to fit my Hebrew name as that’s what most people refer to me by. Is there a way that I can find my family’s last name? We’re from the Russia/Poland/Estonia area if that helps at all.
