Noachide here. I’ve been told that I shouldn’t put other books on top of my Tanakh, except for my Chumash, of course. I work at Amazon and it is possible that I will handle a Tanakh or a Chumash or something at some point. My main job is to pack orders. In pack, it’s no big deal to just put it on top. But I’m currently cross-training in pick. I’m taking items from where they’re stored (mostly just one at a time) and then putting them in totes that will often contain dozens of items. It might be a bit difficult to avoid putting other things on top of a Tanakh if I have to pick one. How would people suggest I handle it if I have to pick something like that? Skipping the item is not an option. Putting it to the side and adding it to the tote later is also not an option. Also, whatever I need to do, would that apply to an English-only Tanakh? What about non-Jewish translations?
