How to celebrate each holiday with my baby?

Hello! Both my husband and I grew up in the Reform tradition but we’re both fairly unobservant. But I just had a baby, our first child, and I want to do a good job of making sure he grows up feeling Jewish.

We want to join a synagogue eventually, but it likely won’t be for a few more years. In the meantime, I want to start making some of our own family traditions for all the holidays. Any suggestions on how to go about doing this? Are there any good books that walk through each holiday, its meaning, and recipes/traditions/etc associated with the holiday?
