How do you separate the man from the action, in order to forgive?

If someone wronged me, it was obviously part of HaShem’s plan…but the person still chose to be the one to do it.

Ex: if someone tries to destroy my company, of course I was meant to have that experience, gain what I gained, etc….but he’s still the one who chose to do that to me.

I don’t want to be able to forgive in order to view the person as if they’ve never done the actions, I only want to be able to forgive them so that I can be more at peace.
