Upfront, I am in no way comparing the plight of trans people with Jewish people or saying they are comparable.
More and more lately, I’ve been seeing an irrational amount of hatred and misinformation regarding transgender people, both online and in news interviews. I honestly don’t understand how so many people who probably don’t know a single trans person IRL have decided to dedicate their lives to making ours miserable. Further, it seems like no amount of rational argument can sway these individuals, who fall back on conspiracy theories and tired tropes and stereotypes to justify their beliefs.
My question is: how do Jewish people deal with this on your end? You have been dealing with it for a few thousand years in one form or another, so I figure the trans community could use some pointers, whether in the form of religious consolation or just life pro tips.
