Help getting back to Rosh Hashanah headspace

Hi everyone,

I could really use some support right now. I’ve been preparing all through Elul: studying, meditating, and working hard in therapy. I felt so ready to enter the new year with a clear heart and positive mindset.

But last night I found out about some inappropriate things my husband has been doing, and it completely threw me off. I feel shaken and can’t seem to get back to the grounded, hopeful place I was in just a few days ago. I don’t want his mistakes to steal my peace or ruin the way I enter Rosh Hashanah.

Right now, I’m reading This is Real and You Are Completely Unprepared and continuing my daily study practice, which I hope will help. But if anyone has advice, rituals, prayers, or practices that help you realign spiritually after being knocked off center, I’d love to hear them.

Thank you so much, and shanah tovah.
