This is NOT in any way meant to limit the number of otherwise Janice-related posts standing alone on the sub as we approach this most revolutionary week.

7anoukka starts on the evening of Sunday, 14 December, and runs through Monday, 22 December. On haLuakh haIvri (the Hebrew Calendar), it’s from 25 Kislev to 02 Tevet.
Hag haUrim (Festival of Lights) celebrates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem during the Maccabean Rebellion against the Seleucid Empire (when in doubt, blame the Hellenists).
