Friend is moving to Israel, looking for some blessings to wish him well.

Hi there. I’m a gentile, but my friend/coworker has taught me a lot of cool stuff.

Long story short, he’s moving to Israel this week. He’s going to graduate school! He’s very excited.

He loves cookies, so I baked a crap ton of them for him.

But for his card, I wanted to write some kind of blessing, to wish him well. We’ve had long talks at lunch for well over a year now about anything and everything, and he’s taught me all sorts of cool things about Judaism- the unique calendar, the difference between Yiddish and Hebrew, some of the holidays (I learned how to make challah and Hamantaschen), and some words I didn’t know.

Anyway, if you good folks could recommend something to wish him well, I’d be very grateful. Otherwise, I’m going with a chocolate chip cookie pun “Parting is such semi-sweet sorrow.”

(He observes eating Kosher most of the time but, like, with exceptions. He’s clarified to me that baked goods are one of those exceptions lol).

Much thanks. 💕
