First Look for Wedding

My family comes from a modern orthodox background, my fiance’s is conservative. She is dead set on doing a first look and taking photos outside together before the sun goes down.

I am ok with it (although I would rather not see her until she walks down the aisle). However, I am worried about how my family / rabbi will react. Can I still have an Orthodox wedding if the schedule goes something like this: photos together -> ketubah -> ceremony?

I know first look is generally not accepted for an orthodox wedding, but how important is that rule / tradition?
