Hi all,
I’m someone who, though not born Chabad, is deeply affectionate towards Chabad, has studied a lot of the Chabad philosophy, I have a lot of Chabad ancestors, regularly attend Chabad and have adopted the minhag (having become half bal teshuva, if you’d take that term, lol).
I’m going to the Ohel soon, BH, and it will be about my fourth or fifth time there. I know it is customary to read a few chapters of Tehillim while in the walls of the Rebbe’s resting place, but I have always wanted to read the entire book of Tehillim there. Is this bad etiquette? It will be a weekday, not on Chag, so shouldn’t be too busy. I just really feel connected and want to get a holy day in in light of some important prayers and all the good news the Jewish world has merited. The only reason I wouldn’t do this is if it is disrespectful in some way shape or form, either to the Rebbe or others present. Perhaps you are only supposed to read a few?
Thank you, and if you’d like me to deliver a prayer for anyone in particular please let me know!
