While Islamic sources think they met once especially after the Berber Sultan Abu Yaqub Yusuf made Ibn Rushd as the judge over Cordoba.

Mohamed Ibn Rushd ( in Latin : Averroes) was one the Greatest Philosophers in human history lived in Cordoba in the 12th century, and was the key cause of European Renaissance , after the Averroesi mouvement in Paris and Bologna called him the Father of Rationalism, the Great Commentator, even Vatican banned all the books of Averroes because they were a real threat for the church

Averros directly influenced other great philosophers especially Maimonides and Thomas Aquinas

Like Maimonides said I studied the books of Mohamed Ibn Rushd/ Averroès for 13 years , to write his Arabic book ( Dalat Al-Hairin ) or the Guide for the Perplexed
