Canceling Netanyahu's criminal trial would mark the beginning of the end for Israeli democracy

Will Israel simply wake up to the way things were, returning to the period preceding the investigation and the indictment, before the attempted regime overhaul and the October 7 war? Will Netanyahu shake off his wiliness and cruelty, extending a conciliatory hand to his rivals?
