Can you be Jewish and also henotheist? (Sorry if this has already been asked)

(Note: I’m still pretty new to Judaism and I most likely won’t get an exact answer, but I still want to know)

This is kind of a weird question that’s probably blasphemy but oh well.

I’m Jewish by blood, and for the past few months I’ve been exploring and studying Judaism and Jewish mysticism. However, I have a lot of personal opinions on Judaism and religion as a whole.

While I personally pray to and worship HaShem, I have absolutely no problem if people follow other deities, or even none at all. I don’t deny other people’s deities because I ultimately don’t know or decide what deities do and don’t exist. I hate the idea of proselytizing, which I’m so glad Judaism doesn’t do.

I’m also a huge anthropology nerd, and I love studying and learning about different cultures and folklores, which often include foreign deities. I don’t worship these deities, I just research about them. I don’t believe that there is such thing as a ‘true’ or ‘false’ religion and I actively try to get away from that idea.

I’m also an ex-Christian (I was pretty lukewarm but still) and Christianity tends to be very hateful and judging of things that aren’t Christian or G-d. I’ve personally had some bad experiences with Christianity and I don’t want to continue or reinforce these types of beliefs into my Judaism.

I hope I’m making sense haha
