Would you consider challah to be a traditional Hanukkah food?

I regularly play NYTGames Strands (a word search game) and today’s theme was Hanukkah foods. It included expected ones like latkes and applesauce, but also kugel and challah. To me, kugel and challah are traditional Shabbat/Yomtov foods, not Hanukkah foods. I felt like they were just picking stereotypical Jewish foods and even considered writing a quick email to them pointing this out. But then I googled it and lots of cooking websites mention challah as a Hanukkah food!

Would you consider kugel or challah to be traditional Hanukkah foods? Or am I right that they are just listing Jewish foods?
