Would you buy nazi paraphernalia to remove it from the marketplace? If so, where should it go?

I need some level headed advice.

I’m from a small town in the US and a local store has a 1917 Luger with a random nazi badge and iconography affixed to the gun.

My first instinct was to ignore it, but after some searching for similar guns, I found that they are rarely accompanied with paraphernalia like this.

It’s a lot of money, but I can make it work. The question is, is it worth buying this stuff to remove it from the market? If I get it, is there a place I can send it to be destroyed in some official way? Or should I loan it to museums? Is there so much of it that I should go with my initial reaction to ignore this?

Does anyone have some experience with this that they can share?
