Would it be acceptable for a contemporary sofer to make a sefer Torah in Paleo-Hebrew rather than Ktav Ashuri?

Obviously, it wouldn’t be useful since no Jewish communities in the modern day learn or teach Paleo-Hebrew, but would it still be kosher?
