Will a synagogue accept me if only my father is Jewish and I was never bar mitzvah’d?

Finding myself identifying more and more with my Jewish side lately. The rise of antisemitism is ironically making me feel like I should discover my roots more. If shit heads south, nobody is going to care that “only my father is Jewish”

I don’t even know where to start. Plenty of temples in my area but security is very tight these days. I have to figure out how to get on the list to be allowed inside
