why is being Jewish funny.

I just saw a well known comedian (name not mentioned) in concert. He is Jewish and part of his routine was about Jewish content. My favorite line was about Hanukkah, – chocolate in foil, that it is difficult to get out -. I wasn’t offended by his content, but came out of the performance questioning why the non-Jewish world thinks being Jewish is funny.
