Why do a lot of people think Orthodox Jews don’t work?

I am a young female that attends shul(they are a Chabad but have a synagogue). A lot of people that go aren’t orthodox but I am on that path. I went to college and work a 9-5 corporate job. A lot of people there are surprised to see a young individual there and I have been asked multiple times if I work full time or how I manage it. Is it a general misconception that orthodox don’t work? I work from home half the time and M-F. I find I have plenty of time for study & maintaining the lifestyle.
