Where does the concept of גאולה come from in Judaism and how did it evolve over time?

So as the title says. In modern times גאולה (redemption) seems to usually be in reference to the משיח (messiah) and the rebuilding of the בית המקדש (Temple in Jerusalem) but I assume that prior to the Great Revolt in 65CE that it must have had a different meaning. Is the יציאת מצרים (Exodus from Egypt) considered a גאולה? It’s been a while since my days in Hebrew school but I don’t remember the world גאולה used to describe יציאת מצרים, or at least not in the תנ”כ (Hebrew Bible)

But back to basics: where does it first appear historically in Jewish thought and how did it come to be associated with the משיח? And what did גאולה mean during the days of the בית המקדש?

Edited for translation of Hebrew.

Edit #2:

A further question: does Ge’ulah refer also to an individual’s personal redemption? Or is Ge’ulah specific to national redemption? If the latter then is there a Hebrew word specific to individual redemption?
