What is the most appropriate way to pray for someone who is sick in the hospital and will undergo surgery

I want to pray for my partners father he is in the hospital and very sick. He will undergo surgery soon. I want to do it the right way and bless him to heal and gain strength. What is the appropriate prayer for this? I do know Mi Sheberach is it okay for me to recite the prayer by myself from home? I want to pray in the most respectful way. I prefer if it is written in Hebrew transliteration as I can’t read the Hebrew alphabet. Thank you
