Ishaq Levi died in the 2000s. Zebulon Simentov left in 2020s. No jew is a permanent resident in Kabul as far as I know….is the synagogue…still a synagogue or just a room now?
Also, the 400yo Torah role that simentov wanted to take to Israel but that was confiscated by the Taliban…do we know what happened to it?
Idk what it is called, but there is a special component that makes a church a church. A small thing they put into the altar i think. Without it the church is just a building. Do synagogues have smth like that as well? As in “Simentov left, and took the part of the synagogue that makes it a synagogue so now its settled and just a building/room”
