I’m creating a presentation on how to be “culturally sensitive” when counselling Jewish clients. It’s difficult considering that there is so much diversity within Judaism, but speaking from your own experiences:
What is something that Non-Jewish people struggle to comprehend about Judaism?
What do you wish more people understood about Judaism?
Have you ever experienced or had something said to you from a counsellor/therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist that was unintentionally (or intentionally) harmful or offensive to you?
Any other thoughts/comments on being culturally sensitive?
