What are some good books for a Jew to read if they never went to Yeshiva but would like to standardize any gaps in their knowledge?

I was curious if there were some good books in the middle range of Jewish knowledge that are above entry-level stuff but cover more specifics for gaps that may exist in one’s knowledge.
