If you are Jewish and stationed at the Thule Air Force base in Greenland, how would you keep the sabbath? They have polar winters were the sun goes down in the winter and doesn’t come back up until sometime in the spring. Then they have polar summers where there is no sundown for the whole summer. Of course, I realize the people who wrote the Torah had no knowledge of polar winters and summers.
