Shuckling while having a conversation

I was talking to a Chabad rabbi while he was sitting down, and he seemed to be shuckling while we were having a conversation. I grew up conservative, so I wasn’t exposed to much shuckling growing up. I thought shuckling was mostly performed while praying. Is it common to perform shuckling while not praying? Thanks I’m advance.
