Hi, I’m a Swedish Jew. Our government made Yiddish an official minority language in 2010 which means I (as a Jew in school) have unconditional rights to get thought Yiddish. I am aware of the language being basically unusable today but I’d like to preserve it (and I just like learning languages), although I have no need of learning it. The thing is that if I were to learn Yiddish in school I would be using tax-money, which I don’t think is right unless I actually need to, so what do ya’ll think?
