Setting up the kosher bagelry

Edit: just wanted to say thank you everyone! I’m going to go do some work on this now. My plan is to do a bunch of research and then reach out to the Chabad Rabbi in Spokane. One of the reasons I’m asking this is that I have had just about equal Jewish friends tell me that I need to have a partner and then the other half told me I didn’t. Sorry I probably should have mentioned this in the beginning. But that’s what I get for going on Reddit while I’m still waking up in the morning.

We have a small bagelry that we run in the front of our house. We don’t make a lot but it’s enough to pay a few bills and buy some groceries. Whatever is left over, we donate time, money and food to the local community.

An opportunity has opened up for us for a potential storefront. We have the University of Idaho within walking distance. One of the reasons we don’t have a lot of Jewish students here, is that there is no Jewish food or resources. In my 5 years here, I’ve only seen one Orthodox Jewish student. I was so excited to see just anyone who’s Jewish in this town, that I walked up to him so fast the expression on his face looked like he was about to be the victim of a hate crime. I want to put a Torah and University study room in the back for the students and possibly use the space for weekly services since the nearest synagogue is over an hour and a half away.

The problem is I’m not orthodox, our family is pretty much conservative Judaism. I want this bagelry and deli to be a place where orthodox or Chabad students can get food, hang out, study and be safe.

If I were to find an Orthodox or Chabad business partner and make them an owner with me, would we then be able to have our bagelry and deli kosher?

What would be the best way for me to accomplish this goal?
