Second Temple Judaism

So I’m writing a novel set in first century Roman Empire, specifically the decades before the revolt. This may sound strange, but I’ve been trying to find a synagogue I could immerse myself in that comes close to Judaism as it would’ve been practiced during the Second Temple Period. Short of going to the Holy Land (obviously not a good idea right now) are there any Jews in the US I can talk to who are knowledgeable about this particular period? I know the history, but books can only get me so far.
