rhymed prose (not poetry)

Peace, everyone. I study pre-Islamic Arabia and Quranic studies. I have a question about the presence of rhymed prose (not poetry) in the Tanakh in Hebrew (ancient Hebrew, not modern Hebrew), and in the writings of the Christian and Jewish communities of Ethiopia in Ge’ez. Are there any works by researchers who have raised such a question ? How do researchers categorise the Psalms – as poetry or as rhymed prose ?
