I read this book years ago when a Jewish friend, who was raised completely secular, was given this book by another friend to read. I had heard wonderful things about it, so I read it.
I decided to read it again to see if it still held up. A lot has changed since 2008 (the edition I have)…and that doesn’t even include October 7th. My book is filled with new sticky tabs (I removed the old ones, which were things my friend wanted to talk about / know more about, or that I wanted him to look into more deeply based on conversations we had). The new sticky tabs are when I said “well this is…off”.
I know this sub, myself included, recommends this book frequently. I can’t help but wonder, though, if it is time for it to be revised yet again.
Does anyone else feel this way / wish it would be updated to reflect the many changes that have occurred in the last 17 years?
