Questions on Abraham’s lineage

Hi everyone, non-Abrahamic here but interested in learning about the faith and it’s descendants.

I’ve been studying early judaism, and some scholars claim Abraham was more of a symbolic than literal figure (since some names in Tanakh seem symbolic eg. Shem’s sons were tribes like Elam and Ashur). I want to ask what the current Jewish (not scholarly) thought on Abraham is as a historic figure?

My second question is on his sons, based on Judeo-Christian Tradition, the covenant was given through Isaac and not Ishmael, and parts of Rabbinic Judaism sees Ishmael’s line in a negative way. As Muslims claim descent from Ishmael, I wanted to ask if based on the original scriptures, line of Ishmael can lead to prophets, or all prophets are those specifically mentioned in Jewish tradition.

My third question is, as there is zero evidence of Abraham going to Arabia, is there evidence of what happened of Ishmael’s line?
