question about the custom to make a kiddush after the birth of a girl

I’m trying to find out if the custom to make a kiddush after the birth of a girl was universal or perhaps only in specific communities.

Does anyone know if this custom was practiced among ‘litvish’ Jews? Is it universal even among the chassdim?
