Hi, I’m currently in Jerusalem. I’m going to Mea Shearim to look for Yiddish books and religious stuff and I was hoping to be able to visit some shuls there. I just don’t know which ones are open to strangers and when they start shacharis. They don’t really have websites.
Why do I want to go? Well primarily because I love praying with other Yiddish speakers and I seldom get to do that. Second, Iblike what I know of frum liturgy. Third, I like davning in new shuls and learn what they’re like.
I keep shomer by a stricter conservative model, dress modestly (especially when going there) and would act with respect. Any tips?
