I’m a 21 year old Bais Yaakov graduate. I feel like all my parents see when they look at me is my marital status – they’re clearly panicking and making increasingly desperate moves.
For my part, life isn’t that bad; I have a great career going and have a lot of friends, and while I would get married if I met the right guy, it’s not the end of the world if I don’t meet him right now.
How can I convince my parents that it’s okay and that there are other parts to me other than my singlehood, without making them feel like I don’t care about getting married?
