"One team, one fight"

This is the refrain I heard constantly during my time in the Marines. Coming from a family that was less than tight knit, that kind of environment was all I ever wanted. To be around people that, regardless of disputes, national or regional origin, perspective or opinion, understood we were all together and had each others back. There are few examples of that in the civilian world. At least in my part of the world.

The Jewish people have been the exception in my experience. I grew up in Brooklyn seeing your community from afar. How united it was. Now of course i’m sure there are arguments and squabbles I am not privvy to. But that’s the point right? You worked your things out in house and at least to the world presented a mostly united front and then backed that up internally by actually looking out for one another.

I don’t know. I’m rambling here a bit. But at least from the outside looking in, I wanted to say (as if you didn’t already know) that you guys have something special. And I admire that.

Stay safe out there.
