Lifeblood

When Noah leaves the teva after the flood he build an altar and sacrifices to Hashem, the odor goes up to Hashem and he vows never to flood the earth again. Then Hashem tells Noah that everything that moves will be food for you, but do not eat meat that has the lifeblood in it.

There was a separation of clean and unclean animals bought on the ark. and in the first sacrifice after the flood. Does this mean that Noah had different dietary laws from those given to Moses? Are dietary laws (other than the lifeblood) dependent on time and place?

The prohibition on eating blood is the most fundamental dietary law, yet I know good people who swear by eating the life blood of an animal, and it is wasteful to let it fall on the ground. I sometimes play with my dog and act like a wild animal pretending to tear the head off of a stuffed animal. I love Torah but I am also fascinated with the shamanic and savage nature inside of me. I don’t eat blood but the fact that it is prohibited makes it appealing, because that is just the kind of person I am.
