Hey all,
I have the good fortune of a wonderful acquaintance announcing their engagement and being invited to the couple’s L’Chaim. I wasn’t aware of a “L’Chaim” being a type of event and not just what you say for cheers before this invite lol. Is a L’Chaim an engagement party or is it separate?
The only engagement party I’ve been to was for a cousin many years ago when I was a teen so my mom handled everything(gifts, etc). And while my cousins are frum, they’re VERY modox so I’m assuming would be a bit different from this?
I’m not frum let alone hasidic (the couple is frum/hasidic) so I’m a bit unsure what to expect, what’s expected of me or any faux pas to avoid.
I’m just super 😭 happy for my friend cause they’ve been praying for a match/spouse and it’s finally happened
