Judaism Hypothetical Question

If Judaism required daughters to be circumcised, would that be legal too? Female circumcision was practiced in the West and even covered by insurance in the US until the 1970s. But no major religion required it in the West so it was banned in the 1990s. Similar attempts to ban male circumcision have been blocked by Jewish organizations so I suspect if the Abrahamic covenant required female circumcision, there’d be a good chance that would still be around.
