I’m too shy to talk to a guy

Hello. (I’m 21(F), part –sephardic/mizrahi– jewish from my mother, my family isn’t observant. I don’t know if this matters.)

I don’t know how to start,

There is a guy in my class, I find him courageous, I like him, I remember him since we had the entry exams. I remember this day a lot of people started to judge him when he enters in the room and I was kinda hating people for that.

Last time, he did a presentation in class, it was very good, he seemed confident and I did a presentation too but I hate speaking in public, so I was shaking and being very stressed as usual but people appreciated my sayings and I noticed that he seemed to appreciate my presentation.

He is wearing a kippa and has traditional clothes, if someone knows what are the long strips, he wears those too, I would like to ask him what are they but I’m too shy, I don’t want to seem bothering to him or the creep disrespectful kind of person. He is small in height but me too and I’m still smaller than him, I’m the smallest of the class. Also, I love his eyes, I was at the end of the class listening a conversation that he had with an another guy, I went closer and I don’t remember exactly how but he spoke to me. I thought he had brown eyes, I don’t know why while he has indeed light blue eyes, it’s beautiful. It was not incredible, ok, we were talking about potentially missing people in the class since the beginning of the year, regardless I feel a little joy.

I’m wearing often jewelry with the tree of life that my mother offered me, I know it has a meaning in Judaism, I enjoy it. The problem is that I don’t really dare to talk to him about that or asking a question, talking about me, I’m a very shy person. Also, I don’t think I’m attractive, neither interesting.
