Does anybody else feel like younger Jews (more specifically Gen Z) have lost touch with their identity as Jews. To me it seems like as social media stays anti Semitic gen z are scared to show their Judaism in fear of being attacked or harassed through direct message. Another point I would like to add is that a lot of kids don’t know stories like we used too, whether it was hearing stories from the holocaust from a family member, moving to a new country and struggling, or even stories from the Torah like knowing Purim and the book of Esther or knowing why the maccabees revolted.
I just feel like there could be a connection loss between generations soon as even at my local synagogue everyone there is more of a mature adult the only time i’ve seen youth is during the high holidays .
