My son is approaching his bar mitzvah year, and for his community service project, he’d like to do something to help people with cancer (this is, presumably, because I have bladder cancer, and he has watched me struggle with it for four years. Yes, he’s a good kid.) We live in Portland, Maine. Any ideas? There aren’t really any specific programs that cater to middle-school aged kids…
