There is this amazing Chabad Rabbi near the hospital near where my wife is sitting at the hospital who’s been incredibly kind to invite me over for Shabbat dinner these past weeks. My wife’s family is Jewish and if it wasn’t for this traumatic brain injury I would have convrd 20 years ago. I have the desire, will and heart but learning languages is incredibly hard. My wife is religious but not practicing and doesn’t ever have time to help guide me. So I’m basically the sound of one hand clapping.
Can someone give me a rundown of how to be polite/ what steps I should do entering and exciting their home so I don’t look like a fool? This isn’t my first time at the Shabbat rodeo here. I’m more concerned about, should I leave the door open, etc I haven’t had any problems at the previous dinners but I just want to make sure I have all my bases checked.
