[Help] I’m not Jewish. I know someone who passed away and his family cannot afford anything other than cremation. He converted to Judaism a few years ago. Is there anyone that can help him get a proper burial?

I’m sorry for coming here, as I’m not Jewish, but I’m very concerned about this man not receiving a proper burial as, as far as I can tell from research, cremation is NOT something he would have wanted. He specifically requested a pine box burial without being embalmed but his family can only afford cremation. Is there a fund that can help with things like this? Who should I advise his family speak to? His synagogue? His family is not Jewish and while they want to honor his wishes I don’t think they realize how serious it would be to cremate him. Thank you.
