Have you noticed some protestants think that Jewish people are God’s chosen people and should be protected?

I ask this because I was raised protestant. My parents even gave me a jewish first and middle name. Anyway my entire religious upbringing as a protenant was somewhat centered around how jewish people are gods chosen people and how we should protect them. This was really nailed in.
