Hard times

In what can only be described as a series of cosmically ordained blows, I have unfortunately fallen on some hard times recently. I’ve been essentially homeless and living out of my car for the past 5 months or so. This situation has also made keeping shabbat extremely difficult. I’ve been looking for a real job that can lift me out of the situation with no avail, and am in a city where I don’t have any family or support. I’m wondering if anybody knows any organizations or charities that might be able to assist in some way.

Just to be clear, I’m not homeless out of poor life decisions. I don’t do drugs or drink. I have two undergrad degrees and a master’s. I’m educated and capable. Like I said, some bad luck headed my way and I haven’t yet been able to find a solution.
