Everything’s Gonna Be Okay.

Let’ be realistic, things haven’t been too great lately. For the past year or so now, and often getting progressively worse day by day. Many have been feeling saddened and empty for the longest time now. It’s a shame. But i saw something today which helped me out, and I hope it will too for you. Today, I happened, (for the first time in a while) to open the book “Hayom Yom”, a collection of teachings compiled by the Lubavitcher Rebbe back in the 1940s, which has a select teaching for every single day of the year. Here is today’s:

“Hearken and hear Israel, this is the time marked for the redemption by Mashiach. The sufferings befalling us are the birth-pangs of Mashiach. Israel will be redeemed only through teshuva. Have no faith in the false prophets who assure you of glories and salvation after the War. Remember the word of G‑d, “Cursed is the man who puts his trust in man, who places his reliance for help in mortals, and turns his heart from G-d” (Yirmiyahu 17:5). Return Israel unto the Eternal your G‑d; prepare yourself and your family to go forth and receive Mashiach, whose coming is imminent.”

Not a coincidence, I don’t think, that this falls out today. Not that this is intended to be a controversial post in any way, far from it. But one thing is for sure. I’m basically just a kid, truth be told, but still, I firmly believe that the only one we can rely on, beyond all else, is Hashem. That’s it, and that’s all. Everything’s a bit chaotic right now in the world. But everything’s going to be okay. Just have some faith.
