Done with xtianity

Need to vent so long post, hope yall dont mind.

Got into “the holy bible” about a year and a half ago, was once an athiest but some nonsensical rabbit holes pushed me in that direction. Started going to church, giving high praise to “you know who” all the things.

Then i started actually reading “the holy bible”, and asking questions and realized none of these people have read their book, they’re just regurgitating dogma and doctrines that are seemingly nonexistent up until their grand finale(which they have heavily, and forcefully edited)

Some questions i had were -why is buddy saying “trust me bro”(sus) -why is it all about “you just gotta believe”(sus) -why would this guy promise to burn people for eternity(sus) -how did lucifer become satan(SUS) -why do you guys pray to pictures on your walls of a dude you dont know, after you were told not to do that?(actually crazy)

Their reasons were baffling.

Just reading it, while i thought it was a beautiful tale, IT STINKS, and makes little to no sense for this to be a continuation of judaism. It’s as if they picked some parts out of the tanakh and stitched in some other stories from the region.

Then they contradict themselves all the time,“its a living and breathing book, but its closed and canonized, we just gotta wait according to the red letters” or “God is consistent throughout”… And they got some dude set up in his own city on thrown, and people are praying to dead people for some reason.

Utter nonsense if we’re talking about the G-d of the tanakh.

Anyway, i did some ancestry(im jamaican), and though im not jewish myself, many of my ancestors were. With that said there is still a call in my mind to keep learning more, so im going to try my best to learn some hebrew, and maybe visit a synagogue

Just wanted to thank this sub for the wisdom, i feel sticky and gross at this point but i guess thats part of life
